Account and Data Deletion
Effective date: September 11, 2026
This page explains how to delete your Talevra account, exactly what is deleted, what is anonymised, and what is kept. You do not need to be signed in to read it.
How to delete your account in the app
- Open Talevra (Android app or website) and sign in.
- Go to Settings > Account.
- Choose Delete account and confirm.
- Your sign-in is ended and the account is removed. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
If you cannot sign in, email supportalevra@gmail.com from the email address on the account and ask for deletion. We may need to confirm that the account is yours before we act.
What is deleted
When you delete your account, the following are removed from the live service:
- Your login account and credentials.
- Your search history.
- Your reading progress and saved stories.
- Your reading lists.
- Your notifications, and notifications generated by your activity.
- Your notification, privacy and app settings.
- Your Spotify connection, if you had one.
- Your follows, and your blocks in both directions.
- Your Writing Partner profile, partner requests and partnerships.
- Your circle invitations and join requests, collaboration invitations and join requests, and draft access permissions granted to you.
What is anonymised
Your public profile is not left in place under your name. Your handle is replaced with an anonymous "deleted" handle, your display name becomes "Deleted user", and your avatar, banner, bio, website, location, pronouns, social links and language preferences are cleared. The profile record itself remains, marked as deleted, so that content other people still rely on does not break.
What is kept
Shared and community content is preserved so that other users' work and conversations are not damaged. This includes:
- Stories and chapters you published, including work you co-wrote with others.
- Comments you left on other people's stories, and posts or comments in Writing Circles.
- Messages in conversations with other people, since those conversations belong to both sides.
- Purchase and subscription records required for accounting, tax and fraud-prevention purposes.
This content is no longer attached to your name — it is shown as belonging to a deleted user. If you want a specific story, chapter or comment removed, delete it in the app before you delete your account, or ask us at supportalevra@gmail.com.
Timing and backups
Deletion and anonymisation happen immediately in the live service when you confirm. Copies may still exist in routine encrypted infrastructure backups kept by our hosting provider until those backups expire in the normal rotation, and in logs kept for security purposes for a limited period.
Premium and Google Play
Deleting your Talevra account does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Cancel it separately in Google Play, otherwise it may keep renewing. See the Subscription, Cancellation and Refund Policy.
