Community Guidelines

Effective date: September 11, 2026

Talevra is a home for storytellers. These guidelines keep it a place where people can write honestly, read safely and collaborate without fear. They apply to stories, chapters, comments, profiles, messages, Writing Circles and partner requests.

Write with respect

  • Critique the writing, not the writer. Feedback should be useful, not cruel.
  • No harassment, bullying, stalking, threats, or coordinated pile-ons.
  • No hate speech or attacks based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, gender, gender identity or sexual orientation.
  • No encouraging self-harm, suicide or eating disorders. Stories may explore these themes with care, but must not glorify or instruct.

Never allowed

  • Any sexual content involving minors, real or fictional. This leads to immediate removal and permanent termination.
  • Content that exploits or endangers children or vulnerable people.
  • Illegal content, or instructions for serious harm.
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery, doxxing or sharing someone's private information.
  • Impersonating another person, author or organisation.
  • Plagiarism, reposting someone else's work, or infringing copyright or trademarks.
  • Spam, scams, mass unsolicited messages, fake engagement or bot behaviour.

Mature content

Adult themes are allowed within these guidelines, but must be labelled as mature when you publish. Readers can filter mature stories out, and mature work should not be aimed at minors. Do not use tags, covers or titles to disguise adult content as general-audience work.

Messages, partners and circles

  • Respect message settings and blocks. If someone blocks you, do not try to reach them another way.
  • Writing Partner and collaboration requests should be genuine, not mass-sent.
  • Only published public stories may be shared into Writing Circles — never someone's private draft.
  • Circle owners and moderators may remove posts and members who break these guidelines.

Reporting and enforcement

Use the report option on a story, message or profile, or block a user to stop contact. Depending on severity we may hide or remove content, unpublish a story, limit publishing or messaging, suspend an account, or permanently terminate it. Repeated or severe violations escalate faster.
