Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 11, 2026

Talevra is a platform for reading, writing and collaborating on stories. This policy explains what information we hold when you use Talevra, why we hold it, who can see it, and how you can remove it.

Who we are

Talevra is the service described in this policy. For any privacy question or request, contact us at supportalevra@gmail.com.

Needs owner confirmationThe legal entity operating Talevra, its country of establishment, business address and (where required) a data-protection representative have not been confirmed and are deliberately not stated here. Add them before launch if you are legally required to identify the operator.

Account and profile information

  • Your email address and password, or the identifier supplied by the sign-in provider you choose.
  • Your handle (username) and display name.
  • Optional profile details you add yourself: avatar image, banner image, bio, pronouns, location, website and social links.
  • Your account creation and update timestamps, and — if you delete your account — a deletion timestamp.

Stories, drafts, comments and collaboration content

  • Stories, chapters, covers, tags, characters, mature-content labels and story metadata you create.
  • Drafts, autosaved backups and saved chapter versions, so work is not lost.
  • Story comments, inline comments and votes/likes.
  • Collaboration data: co-author roles, invitations, join requests, assignments, contributions, publish requests, approvals and collaboration activity logs.
  • Writing Partner profiles, partner requests and partnerships.
  • Writing Circle membership, roles, posts, comments and replies.
  • Translations you generate for chapters, and Spotify playlist links you attach to stories or chapters.

Drafts and unpublished chapters are private to you and to collaborators you have given access to. Published public stories are visible to anyone, including logged-out visitors and search engines.

Messages and social interactions

  • Direct conversations and messages, including read status.
  • Follows, blocks and reports you send about users, stories or messages.
  • Collaboration chat inside shared story workspaces.

Messages are not end-to-end encrypted. We can access message content when needed to investigate a report or a safety or security issue.

Reading, library and notification data

  • Reading progress and chapter read events, used to resume where you left off and to count reads.
  • Saved stories, reading lists and list items.
  • Search history from in-app searches.
  • Notifications generated by activity involving you, and your notification and privacy preferences.
  • Reading preferences such as theme, font size and cover animation settings.

Authentication providers

You can sign in with an email and password, or with Google. When you use a provider, we receive the basic account identifiers needed to create and recognise your Talevra account (such as your email address and, where provided, your name and profile picture). We do not receive your provider password. Sign in with Apple is not active at this time.

Purchases and subscription status

Talevra Premium is sold only through Google Play on Android. Talevra does not sell Premium through this website and does not receive or store your card or payment-instrument details.

  • We store the Google Play purchase token, product and base plan identifiers, purchase and expiry times, acknowledgement state and subscription state returned by Google.
  • We store the resulting Premium entitlement on your account so Premium features unlock.
  • We receive Real-Time Developer Notifications from Google Play about renewals, cancellations, expiries and refunds so entitlements stay correct.

Technical logs, security and fraud prevention

Our hosting and backend providers process technical information such as IP address, device and browser data, timestamps and error logs when you use Talevra. We use this to keep the service running, to debug problems, to prevent abuse and spam, and to verify that a purchase is genuine.

Service providers we use

  • Supabase — database, authentication, file storage and backend infrastructure.
  • Lovable — application hosting and the AI gateway used for writing-assistant and translation features.
  • Google (Google Play Billing and Google sign-in) — subscription purchases, verification and optional sign-in.
  • Spotify — only if you connect Spotify or attach playlists; the connection is stored per account and can be disconnected.

Text you send to the AI writing assistant or translation feature is transmitted to the AI provider through the Lovable AI gateway in order to return a result.

Needs owner confirmationEmail delivery, analytics and crash-reporting vendors (if any are added later) must be listed here. No separate analytics or advertising tracker was found in the current code.

Why we process your data

  • To provide the service: accounts, publishing, reading, messaging, collaboration and notifications.
  • To keep the service safe: blocking, reporting, moderation, abuse and fraud prevention.
  • To operate Premium: verifying Google Play purchases and granting or removing entitlements.
  • To improve reliability: diagnosing errors and maintaining backups.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

Sharing and international transfers

We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared with the service providers above so they can run the service on our behalf, with other users where you choose to publish or send content, and with authorities where the law requires it. Our providers operate globally, so your data may be processed in countries other than your own.

Needs owner confirmationThe hosting region of the Talevra database and the transfer safeguards used should be confirmed and stated if you serve users in the EU/UK or another region with transfer rules.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, your personal data is deleted and your public profile is anonymised, while shared content that other people rely on is preserved. See the Account and Data Deletion page for the exact list. Deleted items may remain in encrypted infrastructure backups for a limited period before those backups expire, and records we must keep for legal, tax or fraud-prevention reasons are retained for as long as the law requires.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can edit most profile data in the app and delete your account in Settings. For anything else, email supportalevra@gmail.com and we will respond as soon as we reasonably can.

Children and age-related protections

Talevra is not intended for children under 13, and where local law sets a higher minimum age for consenting to online services, that higher age applies. If we learn that an account belongs to someone below the minimum age, we will remove it. Stories marked as mature are intended for adults and are hidden from users who choose to filter mature content.

Needs owner confirmationConfirm the minimum age you want to enforce for Talevra (13, 16 or 18) so the Terms, this policy and the Play Store listing all state the same age.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, ask you to accept the updated terms in the app.

These documents are written in plain language by the Talevra team. They have not been reviewed by a lawyer and are not legal advice.
